Installing sensors for control (optional)
For some controls, a sensor is required to provide the input:
• automatic CO
2
control
2.9.1 Installing CO
2
sensor
With automatic CO
2
control, the CO
2
level is supplied by the
building management system (BMS). If this information is not
available, a CO
2
sensor must be connected.
1. Place the CO
2
sensor (accessory) in extract channel
1
, in
accordance with the supplied instructions.
2. Connect the sensor to X3 (G UI 24VAC)
2
in the elec-
tronics module in accordance with the wiring diagram.
Note:
n
The CO
2
level in the room must be optimal at least
once per week so that the sensor can maintain a
good calibration level.
If this situation does not occur naturally, you can
make it happen by (for example) having the unit start
up an hour earlier once per week.
2.10 Installing external controls
2.10.1 Special points regarding external controls
Unit input
The unit has an input signal interface. As examples, a smoke
detector or fire alarm can be connected to this.
Connection X3
1
is suitable for input signals that are exter-
nally powered.
Connection X1
2
is suitable for supplying the sensor that is
to be connected with a 230V power supply from the unit.
When using this, link connection X1 to X3 with a bridge.
Caution:
c
The input is designed for controls with potential-free
contacts and must not be loaded.
