Connection of the terminal to the electrical supply line
DANGER
Check the following:
the voltage and frequency of the PS440/xxx - PS440-A/xxx power supplier correspond to the
indications on the warning plate affixed to the bottom of the terminal;
the mains outlet socket to which the terminal is connected is equipped with an earth;
the power socket is in the immediate vicinity of the terminal and is equipped with a
disconnector (see Figure 4.3 on page 1-30);
warning and danger plates are secured to the instrument's casing;
failing this, notify your maintenance personnel or contact our Assistance Service directly.
For the correct connection of the terminal to the electrical supply line, proceed as follows:
install in the absence of gas or combustible dust;
connect the power cable (3x1.5 mm²) by means of the cable clamp in power supplier PS440/xxx
- PS440-A/xxx;
strip the internal conductors and insert them into the exe terminals by means of cable end
connectors;
make sure that there are no bare copper parts of the conductor that reduce the 6 mm minimum
distance in air;
install a bipolar knife switch in the vicinity of the terminal.
The terminal complies with the European Directive for electromagnetic compatibility, however it is
good practice to provide a separate power supply line for the terminal.
