How to test the system
The various tests to which the newly installed weighing system must be subjected are outlined
below.
The following points are only a specific recap. Consult complex standard EN60079-17 for full testing
and servicing instructions.
4.8.1
Verification of the compatibility of the system
At the charge of the person in charge of safety in the company.
Is the electrical construction used suitable for the hazardous zone classification?
Are the components used compatible with the groups of substances in the zone?
Is the maximum ambient temperature compatible with the maximum operating temperatures of
the components used?
Is the surface temperature of the components compatible with the dangerous substances
present?
Have the data plate specifications been checked in relation to the power supplied to the
components? In particular, rated voltage Un must correspond to the power supplier PS440/xxx -
PS440-A/xxx installed, while maximum voltage Um must be less than 250Vrms
Are the ground conductors connected correctly?
Can the circuit-breaker/knife switch (installation of which is at the customer's charge) for shutting
off the power supplied to the system be easily accessed?
