START key
The "START" key is located at the bottom right-hand side of the display and pressure on it is
interpreted by the terminal as a request to start an extraction cycle.
The terminal checks to make sure that a different "requested quantity" value from zero has been
entered, that the weight on the scale is valid (no error in the weight converter and scale not
overloaded) and that it is within the "initial range" defined by the user.
The terminal will annul the cycle start request in the absence of at least one of the above listed
conditions.
If all the above mentioned conditions have been complied with, the terminal memorizes the initial
weight, activates the "start ok" contact (if any), starts the extraction process by activating the
extraction contacts defined as "requested" and "slow" and switches to the "extraction page with
extraction activated" page.
During the terminal installation phase, it is possible to:
enable an input contact with the same function as the "start" key;
enable an output contact as "Initial Off Range". If cycle start is refused because the weight on
the scale is not within the "initial range", this contact is activated for one second.
