At the calibrating device a very constant current is set, which is the same as one of the calibration values
of the sensor’s calibration certificate. Under effect of this load independent current, a measured value
correction is executed at the MB1 controller for the corresponding analog input of the sensor. The actual
value X is the controller display value with the measured value correction X switched off. W is the calibra-
tion value according to the calibration certificate that corresponds to the selected current value. A second
measuring value can be adjusted the same way (two-points-adjustment).
As the system password is needed to access the service level, a service technician authorized and
trained by BINDER must execute the adjustment. Recalibrating the light sensors is possible by sending in
the sensors to BINDER factory service, as is the following adjustment of the controller display directly at
the climatic chamber.
If an independent reference measuring device is used to directly compare the light intensities,
it must bear the same spatial sensitivity characteristics (spherical) as the sensors of the
BINDER system (chap. 16.4).
18.4 Cleaning and decontamination
DANGER
Electrical hazard.
Danger of death.
∅
Do NOT spill water or cleaning agents over the inner and outer surfaces
or the light sensors.
¾
Disconnect the unit before cleaning. Disconnect the power plug.
¾
Completely dry the appliance before turning it on again.
Cleaning
Disconnect the chamber from the power supply before cleaning. Disconnect the power plug.
Wipe the surfaces with a moistened towel. In addition, you can use the following cleaning agents:
Exterior surfaces
inner chamber
racks
door gaskets
Standard commercial cleaning detergents free from acid or halogenides.
Alcoholic solutions.
We recommend using the neutral cleaning agent Art. No. 1002-0016.
Instrument panel
Standard commercial cleaning detergents free from acid or halogenides.
We recommend using the neutral cleaning agent Art. No. 1002-0016.
Light sensors
Wipe with a soft, if desired moistened towel. Do not mechanically strain the light
sensors during cleaning and take care not to scratch them.
For surface protection, perform cleaning as quickly as possible.
After cleaning completely remove cleaning agents from the surfaces with a moistened towel.
Soapsuds may contain chlorides and must therefore NOT be used for cleaning.
Decontamination
Disconnect the chamber from the power supply prior to decontamination. Disconnect the power plug.
