3.1.4.2 Internal ISDN connection
The internal ISDN connection on the hybird 120 / hybird 130 gives each internal ISDN
connection a 2.5 watt power supply for connecting a maximum of two unpowered ISDN ter-
minals. In its ex works state, the internal ISDN connection is set up as a "short passive
bus" ("S0 bus"). It is the simple bus cabling in an ISDN system with a length of up to 120 m.
Installing the internal ISDN connection
You can plug a terminal straight into the ISDN 1 (internal ISDN connection) socket. You
can connect other ISDN terminals to a permanently installed ISDN bus. You can connect
an ISDN system telephone, an ISDN telephone or an ISDN card to this connector.
Connecting other ISDN terminals is done via an ISDN distributor or via a permanent cable
to an ISDN bus. The line length to the ISDN sockets for the terminals can be up to 120 m,
with a cable diameter of 0.6 mm. The length of the ISDN connection cables from the ISDN
sockets to the ISDN terminals may not exceed 10 metres.
The line lengths apply to cables J-Y (St) Y2x2x0.6 (0.4). Greater ranges can also be
achieved with other types of cable. You should take care that the cable's sheath is not re-
moved for any longer than necessary and that the wires to the socket remain twisted, or
stranded.
Important
The 100 Ohm terminators should be connected to the last ISDN socket installed on the
ISDN bus.
3.1.5 Permanent connections
Note
When removing the lid, a certain amount of force may initially be required. Hold the lid,
pressing lightly on the upper side, while you release the bracket on the lower side with
your thumb and forefinger.
There are 4-pin connection terminals for the permanent connections. Take care that the
wires to the connection terminals remain stranded. 2 wires can be plugged into each con-
nector. The diameter of the cable can be 0.4 … 0.8 mm. If you press with a screwdriver on
the area indicated with the arrow on the connection terminal (see picture), the wires can be
removed by pulling gently.
