2.3 Personal protective equipment (PPE)
To avoid danger to the user, these instructions recommend the use of personal
protective equipment (PPE).
• This consists of protective clothing, safety goggles, a class P3 respiratory
mask, protective gloves and safety shoes.

In these operating instructions, potentially hazardous work steps are preceded
by the following warnings. Arranged in descending order of danger, they
mean:

• Do not pull the cable assembly across sharp edges or place it in the
welding spatter area or on hot workpieces.
• Disconnect the power source for cleaning activities or when replacing
wearing parts.
• Do not leave the plasma powder welding torch unattended with the power
source switched on.
DANGER
Describes an imminent threatening danger. If not avoided, it will result in
fatal or extremely critical injuries.
WARNING
Describes a potentially dangerous situation. If not avoided, it may result in
serious injuries.
CAUTION
Describes a potentially harmful situation. If not avoided, it may result in slight
or minor injuries.
NOTICE
Describes the risk of impairing work results or the risk that may result in
material damage to the equipment.
