Maintenance for Intended Usage 

Maintenance of the device consists in systematic monitoring of its correct operation, regular technical 

inspection and troubleshooting. 

Maintenance is carried out at intervals of once a quarter. 
Maintenance includes: 

 

remove  dirt  and  dust  from  the  palm  vein  scanner  with  a  soft  dry  cloth  without  the  use  of 
chemicals; 

 

check of fastenings of connections, connectors; 

 

checking the indication of the operating modes of the device; 

 

checking the log of emergency events in Biosmart-Studio v5. 

The frequency of removing dust and dirt from the scanner depends on the operating conditions (as 

the scanner becomes dirty, dusty).

Miantenance 

Repair and replacement of reader elements should be carried out only by specialists authorized by 

the manufacturer of this reader.

Storage and Transortation  

The  packaged  BioSmart  devices  transportation  may  be  carried  out  by  any  means  of  transport  in 

covered vehicles. Transportation conditions by the influence of mechanical factors include transportation by 

road with a total number of transshipments no more than four. 

Transportation by various types of transport: 

 

by  air,  by  rail  in  combination  with  each  other  and  with  road  transport  with  a  total  number  of 

transshipments from 3 to 4; 

 

by waterway shipment (except for the sea) together with air shipment. Railway or road carriages 
with a total number of transshipments no more than four. 

Storage  and  transportation of BioSmart  ACS  should  be carried  out  at  ambient  temperatures  from 

minus 40 to plus 50

ACS BioSmart should be stored and transported at a relative humidity of no more than 70%. 
Storage and transportation of devices in the immediate vicinity of sources of heat and open fire is not 

allowed to avoid overheating. 

Storage and transportation of devices under conditions of ionizing (radiation) exposure is not allowed. 
Storage  of  BioSmart  devices  in  an  aggressive  environment  (environment  with  acidic,  basic  or 

oxidizing action and causing destruction (or deterioration of parameters)) is not allowed. 

Storage and transportation of devices under the influence of biological factors, such as moldy fungi, 

insects, animals, is not allowed. 

For  all  types  of  transportation,  packaged  BioSmart  ACS  devices  must  be  secured  in  a  way  that 

excludes  movement  and  impact,  and  the  direct  influence  of  atmospheric  precipitation  and  aggressive 

environments on BioSmart ACS devices must be excluded.

Utilization 

BioSmart  PV-WM  reader  mustn

t  be  utilized  with  household  waste.  At  the  end  of  use,  contact  a 

certified collection point.
