7 Startup
When you have carried out the mechanical
and electrical installation described in section
6 proceed as follows:
1. Switch off the power supply with the main
switch.
Switch off the circuit breakers of all
pumps.
2. Connect water and power supplies to the
system.
3. Open all pump suction and discharge
valves.
4. Vent all pumps by means of the air vent
screws.
5. Switch on the power supply with the main
switch.
6. Start pump 1 by pressing the start/stop
button on the pump control panel.
7. Vent pump 1 by means of the air vent
screw.
8. Repeat steps 6 and 7 for the other pumps
in the system.
Do not start the pumps until they have been filled with liquid.
A visual inspection for damage must be performed on all components before
commissioning, especially on the pressure vessel with a membrane lining.
When pumping hot liquids, make sure that persons cannot accidentally come
into contact with hot surfaces.
