3.5. Basic adjustments
Before using the scooter for the first time, it is necessary to adjust the
scooter according to your height. This is essential to ensure that your
posture is physiologically correct for driving for extended periods of
time without excessive fatigue. The basic adjustments of the scooter
are described below. You should carry out these adjustments with the
help of your medical supply dealer.
3.5.1. Steering column
Adjusting the steering column of your scooter enables you to set the
driving position so that it is comfortable. You can make the adjustment
while seated in the driver‘s seat.
•
With your left hand, hold the top handle on the handlebars while
using your right hand to turn the screw handle (fig. 3) to the left in
order to loosen the steering column.
•
Move the steering column to the desired position. Now carefully
retighten the screw. The steering column is now fixed in the new
position.
•
The steering column can also be fixed in a central position to
facilitate the lifting or carrying of the chassis
•
To fold down the scooter, the steering column can also be placed
completely on the floor (also refer to chapter 4.6. Disassembling for
storage and transport).
3.5.2. Attaching the basket
Slide the three recesses on the basket onto the three brackets from
above (fig. 5). Make sure that it is securely fitted.
