4.6. Disassembling for transport/
storage
To ensure that the scooter is as compact as possible for transport, it can
be disassembled without the use of any additional tools.
•
Switch off the scooter.
•
You will firstly need to remove the seat. Fold the backrest forwards
onto the seat surface. You can easily remove the seat by lifting it
upwards. To make it easier, rotate the seat 90° to the side. Take
hold of it on the seat surface in front and the backrest on the rear;
in a central position in both cases (fig. 35). The seat is now easy to
lift and pull out of the mounting. Carefully place the seat down on
its rear side. Please note that lubricant residue may be present on
the seat column.
•
The seat weighs 11.2 kg, please ask for assistance with removal if
necessary. You can also first remove the armrests. Undo the screws
on the rear of the frame and pull out the armrests to the side (see
p. 17, chap. 3.5.4. Armrests).
•
Now release the locking mechanism for the battery unit and slide it
upwards so that you can comfortably remove the battery unit.
•
Now take hold of the battery unit from the front, under the handle
(fig. 36) and lift it up and out. Please note that the battery pack is
also heavy, weighing 9.2 kg, so please also ask for assistance here
if necessary.
•
Now raise the unlocking lever (
1
) on the central part of the scooter
(fig. 37) and use your other hand to pull the drive unit backwards
at the rear handle (
2
) (fig. 38).
•
Remove the basket by pulling it upwards.
•
To place the handlebars on the floor of the scooter, undo the
screw on the right above the headlight. Turn it slowly, holding the
handlebars with the other hand. Once the steering column can be
tilted, carefully lower it (see chapter 3.5.1. Steering column).
•
To make it easier to carry and lift the chassis, the steering column
can also be fastened in a central position using the locking screw
above the headlight.
4.7. Assembly
•
Raise the handlebars so they are upright once again, fasten them in
your desired position and carefully retighten the screw.
•
Adjust the drive unit so that it rests on the rear support wheels
(fig. 41).
•
Lift the front unit at the seat column or the unlocking lever.
•
Slide the front unit into the drive unit until it engages. This must
audibly and tangibly engage with a click.
•
Now place the battery unit back into its recess (fig. 36).
•
Fasten the battery’s locking mechanism (see page 15).
•
Take hold of the seat in the centre on the rear and front (fig. 35)
and allow the column to slide into the seat mount’s tube.
•
Fold the backrest and armrests back to the relevant positions.
•
If necessary, mount the basket back on the handlebars, in the
bracket provided (fig. 42) (see chapter 3.5.2).
The battery holder together with the batteries
weighs 9.2 kg. Ask for assistance with lifting the
batteries where necessary.
The seat weighs 8.4 kg. Ask for assistance with lift-
ing the seat where necessary.
