6.2.3. Checking the tyres
Before embarking on any journey, check that the tyres are in good
condition.
•
Carry out a regular check of the tread depth of the tyres once a
month. This should be at least 1 mm.
•
Any faulty or worn out tyres must be changed through the
specialist retailer.
6.3. Batteries
Your scooter is fitted with a battery unit with maintenance-free
batteries, which do not require any liquid levels to be checked.
If your scooter is not used for an extended period, the charger should
be connected roughly every 4 weeks to prevent damage to the batteries
by deep discharge.
Before embarking on any journey, check the charge status of your
battery on the battery status display located on your controller. If only
the red LEDs are illuminated on the battery status display, you should
not travel longer distances and promptly connect the battery charger
to the scooter.
We recommend connecting the charger to the scooter after every
journey.
6.3.1. Charging sockets
Two charging sockets are available. One is located on the left side
under the handlebars. Another is located on the front of the battery
unit. You can remove the battery unit and flexibly charge it separate
from your scooter.
6.3.2. Charging
Only use approved chargers (of the type specified in the technical data
or supplied by the B+B specialist retailer) to charge the batteries.
Make sure to also follow the charger’s instructions for use!
•
Before switching on the charger, check that the power supply is
230 V.
•
First of all, switch the scooter off.
•
Connect the charger to the power socket (230 V)
•
Check the LED status on the charger. When the red lamp is
illuminated, your charger is ready for use.
•
Connect it to the scooter. The charging socket is located on the left
side under the ignition lock (fig. 45) or on the front of the battery
unit (fig. 46).
•
The charge display on the charger shows the status of the charging
process.
- GREEN: Standby / Fully Charged
- RED: Charging in process
- FLASH RED: Error
•
Once charging is complete, disconnect the scooter from the charger
and unplug the charger from the mains.
