6. Assembly/Adjustments
Your new Bischoff & Bischoff wheelchair will be delivered in a Bischoff
& Bischoff original cardboard box, assembled and folded.
In order to avoid transport damage, detachable attachments are
delivered separately with the product.
Please see Chapter 5 for information on which accessories are available
for your wheelchair.
6.1. Folding and unfolding
Unfolding
•
Position the folding wheelchair next to you.
•
Tip the wheelchair towards you until the weight is off one of the
drive wheels.
•
Push the seat tubes apart and push them down with the flat of
your hand, until they lock into place in the bracket on the frame
(Fig. 5).
•
The seat pad must be completely unfolded.
•
Apply the left and right parking brakes on the drive wheels.
•
Fit the legrests and flip them inwards (see Chapter 6.2). Flip the
footrests down (Fig. 5)
•
Swivel the cross tube upwards and fix it on both sides using the star
screws (Fig. 6 A/B).
•
Fit the backrest and fix it on both sides using the star screws (Fig.
6 C)
•
Now you can sit down
Folding
•
First remove the backrest extension by undoing the star screws on
both sides and pulling the backrest extension upwards (Fig. 7 A).
•
Undo the star screws of the cross tube on both sides and swivel it
downwards (Fig. 7 B/C).
•
Flip the footplates and calf pads upwards (Fig. 8).
•
Remove the seat cushion, take hold of the front and rear of the seat
pad and pull it up,
