5 Additional

Options

5.1  Powered Swivel Seat

To sit onto a powered seat at the top of the stairs move the Stairlift to face
you by operating the remote control

Ï

button. Sit in the seat and fasten

the seatbelt then press the Direction Controller to move the Stairlift down.
The seat will swivel to its operating position and move down the stairs.

To get off a powered seat when the Stairlift is at the top of the stairs
continue to hold down the Direction Controller (

).  After the Stairlift stops

moving, the seat will swivel round automatically. Switch the Stairlift off
using the On/Off Holding Switch (

2

) on the arm rest. It is now safe to undo

the seat belt and alight from the Stairlift.

The Stairlift can be called to the bottom of the stairs by using the remote control

Ð

 button.

5.2  Remote Direction Controls

The Stairlift must be in its correct operating condition, with the seat
facing forward and switched on with the On/Off Holding Switch, before
remote controls can be used. These controls can be used to call the
Stairlift and operate hinged rails or platforms when fitted.  Press the

Ï

or

Ð

buttons continuously until the Stairlift stops at the end of its travel.

Do not leave the Stairlift parked part way up the stairs because the
batteries will not be re-charged in this position

Should the user not be able to easily operate the direction controller on
the end of the seat arm, they can carry the hand held remote control
with them whilst travelling on the lift, and operate the lift independently
of the arm control.

5.3  Remote Controls with Auto- Parking

The direction controls operate as described above. The arm rests and
seat must be folded manually prior to operating the Autopark feature.
Press and hold the Autopark button (

A

) continuously to send the Stairlift

to its charge point and operate any powered hinge or platform options.
