1. While filling 

make sure motor is in the off position - (See figure 1

),

hold spreader over a paved surface.

    Use the fill line for maximum load (

See figure 4

)

2. Adjust flow rate settings. (

See figure 3

)

Your product instructions will indicate lbs. per sq. ft. needed (for light rates
such as 1lb to 2lbs per 1,000 sq.ft. reduce flow setting,  for higher rates such
as 5lbs. to 6lbs per 1,000 sq. ft. increase flow setting).

3. Set motor speed to desired flow coverage. Cover a small area to test rate

settings, adjust settings if necessary. (

See figures 5A and 5B

)

4. Slide trigger lock backwards and pull trigger while walking at a normal speed

over the area that is being covered. Trigger activates flow door and spreader
wheel simultaneously. (

See figures 6A and 6B

)

For most ergonomically recommended position please see figure 7.

5. Media is dispersed over the spread range angle indicated 

in figure 4

.

6. When refilling repeat directions and continue spreading.

MAINTENANCE

After use, clean the spreader thoroughly with mild soap and a damp cloth.
Never let any liquid get inside the tool; never immerse any part of the tool into
a liquid.

FULL TWO-YEAR HOME USE WARRANTY

Keter Plastic Ltd. warrants this product for two years against any defects in
material or workmanship. The defective product will be replaced or repaired at
no charge in either of two ways. The first, which will result in exchanges only,
is to return the product to the retailer from whom it was purchased (provided
that the store is a participating retailer). Returns should be made within the time
period of the retailer’s policy for exchanges (usually 30 to 90 days after the sale).
Proof of purchase may be required. Please check with the retailer for their specific
return policy regarding returns that are beyond the time set for exchanges. The
second option is to take or send the product (prepaid) to a Keter Plastic Ltd.
owned or authorized Service Center for repair or replacement at our option. Proof
of purchase may be required. This warranty does not apply to accessories. This
warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may have other rights which
vary from state to state or province to province. Should you have any questions,

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

• Remove batteries if the device will not be used for several months.
• Use only AA Alkaline batteries
• Not for use with rechargeable batteries
• Do not mix old and new batteries. Replace all of them at the same time with

new batteries of the same brand and type.

• Transporting batteries can possibly cause fires if the battery terminals

inadvertently come in contact with conductive materials such as keys, coins,
hand tools and the like. The US Department of Transportation Hazardous
Material Regulations (HMR) actually prohibit transporting batteries in commerce
or on airplanes (i.e. packed in suitcases and carryon luggage) UNLESS they
are properly protected from short circuits. So when transporting individual
batteries, make sure that the battery terminals are protected and well insulated
from materials that could contact them and cause a short circuit.

• Before using any media in this spreader, READ THE LABEL ON THE MEDIA

CONTAINER THOROUGHLY AND FOLLOW ITS DIRECTIONS.

• BEFORE ANY USE, be sure anyone using this spreader reads and understands

all safety information contained in this manual.

• SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS and review frequently prior to use and in

instructing others.

• KEEP CHILDREN AWAY - Any bystanders should be kept at a safe distance

from area being covered.

• USE SAFETY EQUIPMENT - Always wear proper eye and respiratory protection.

Protect eyes and skin against dust.

• STORAGE - Always store this product indoors, in a clean, dry area out of

the reach of children.

• DO NOT OPERATE gardening appliances in gaseous or explosive atmospheres

such as in the presence of flammable liquids, gases, or dust. Motors in
these appliances normally spark, and the sparks might ignite fumes.

• DO NOT USE commercial grade chemicals or for commercial or industrial

purposes. Use only consumer grade lawn and de-icer products.

• DO NOT use the Spreader in rain.
• FOR USE ONLY WITH grass seed, fertilizer, rock salt, de-icer.
• SPRAY AREA must be well ventilated.
• DO NOT leave spreader unattended while running.
• DO NOT SPREAD ANY LIQUIDS with this spreader.
• DO NOT point at self or others, keep bystanders & pets out of

discharge path.

• DO NOT SPREAD ANY POWDERS, pesticides or herbicides with this spreader.
• DO NOT SPREAD close to finished surfaces that could be damaged by
   abrasion or chemical contact such as automotive finishes.
• DO NOT STORE ANY PRODUCT IN THE HOPPER when not in use.
• ALWAYS clean the hopper when changing media.
• USE ONLY WITH THE SPECIFICALLY DESIGNATED BATTERIES.

Use of any other batteries may create a risk of injury or fire.

• FOR OUTDOOR USE ONLY.
• CLOSE SUPERVISION IS NECESSARY when any appliance is used by or near

children.

• DO NOT ALLOW TO BE USED AS A TOY.
• KEEP HAIR, LOOSE CLOTHING, AND ALL PARTS OF BODY AWAY FROM

INSTALLING THE BATTERIES

Ensure on/off switch (

See figure 1

) is in the full “OFF” position.

BEFORE OPERATING THE FIRST TIME REALESE THE SAFTY SCREW AND
REMOVE BATTERY SHIPPING STRIP.

To replace batteries, insert 4 fresh 1.5 volt AA alkaline batteries making sure to
match (+) and (-) terminals correctly.
Replace the battery compartment cover and securely rotate into place.

• Do not open or mutilate the batteries. Released electrolyte is corrosive

on the battery and the equipment.

• Do not short battery terminals.
