PRODUCT OPERATION

Fasten the connecting nozzle to pressure regulator valve

Turn on the compressor using button

and wait until the receiver is full.

and adjust the pressure as necessary, using pressure
regulator valve

Note:
- Before using the spray gun for painting and other accessories,
read Black & Decker Air Kit instructions.
- To fasten the connecting nozzle to valve 13, it’s necessary to
seal its thread.
- If there is overheating or overload, the thermal protector 20,
located in the electric motor, will automatically shut the
compressor off. Whenever the thermal protector trips, a white
stripe appears in its body. At this moment, switch off the
compressor using button 19, wait for 5 (five) minutes, reset the
thermal protector (Picture 7) and switch on the compressor again
using button 19. If it occurs again, check the cause, once it can
be related to installation or way of use. Several trips in a short
period of time, may cause the thermal protector failure or even
burn the electric motor. If the compressor does not switch on
again, reduce the receiver’s pressure to 60 psi (4 bar).
Operating Instructions:
Prepare the surface the material being used
according to the instructions of the paint manufacturer.
Fill ¾ of the spray container while filtering the substance being used by
using a nylon filtering device or panty hose. Slowly push trigger to release
air: To adjust armount of air being released, ratate adjustment control to
adjust armount of paint being released, rotate spray control Pressure
recommendation is 40 to 60 psi - 2.8 / 4.0 bar.
PAINTING RECOMMENDATIONS
- When using the spray gun, always the manufacturer’s instructions on the
of their products.
- Always maintain the spray gun in a position. Otherwise, the spray
container contents may leak.
- Picture 1 shows the appropriate moving pattern of the spray gun
painting. Do not stop the movement pattern, while trigger is pressed. If
paint the process of painting, there is probably too much paint in the
spray container or you are not using the appropriate spraying method. If
there is a lot of fog or paint is being disbursed without reaching the
intended surface, the spray gun may be too far from its intended target.
- Release the trigger at the end of each passing, while the apray gun is still
in motion.
- Two or three thin will give better results rather one thinck coat.

Maintenance
At the end of each use, clean and lubricate spray gun as fallows:
- Fill the spray container with a small of thinner.
- Spray the thinner in a container while shaking the spray gun in order to
loosen the paint.
Repeat this procedure until the thinner is clear of paint.
- Disconnect the air ho se from the spray gun .
- Release completely the adjustment control 4 and remove the washer
from the need. Wash them thinner and dry them.
- To complete the cleaning process, remove the spray container and wipe
clean spray gun with cloth dampened with thinner.
- Lubricate the need with machine oil (SAE 10 w). Rebuild spray gun and
push trigger to initiade lubrification of axle and neede head.
Note:
To avoid damage to axie and moving parts, do not submerge the body of
the spray gun in cleaning solution.
Do not use alkaline solutions (sodas, acids) when cleaning spray gun.
PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE
In order to guarantee the compressor’s performance and to
extend its life, please follow the recommendations below:
1. Daily
A.
Check the oil level and add oil if necessary before switching the
compressor on. The level must be between the maximum and minimum
marks of the oil gauge dipstick

B.
Remove the condensed water from the tank through drain 7 (Picture 6
page 23).
2. Recommended lubricant mineral oil (ISO VG 100 or SAE 30)

Your reciprocating piston compressor has been filled up in the factory
with lubricant mineral oil.
