3.2.3 Power supply connection
The Wizard DXS - Digital provides flexibility in the way that it is powered in order to suit your installation requirements. Each
Wizard DXS - Digital can be powered:
• Via both USB connections from the host computer, or
• From the supplied autosensing power adaptor.
3.2.3.1 Power supply issues and options
If you intend to derive power from the host computer then both USB connections must be made to the host computer. The
Wizard DXS - Digital will share its requirements between the two ports and will automatically refuse to operate if only one
connection is made.
If you want to disable virtual media by omitting its USB cable, then you will need to use the supplied power adaptor. On the side
panel of the Wizard DXS - Digital, use
switch 1
to determine how power should be derived:

Derive Wizard DXS - Digital power from either the USB connections or the
supplied power adaptor.
