ACTIVE CCTV RECEIVER HUB, 16-PORT
Solution #3:
Make sure that the UTP pairs are correct (not split).
Problem:
The picture loses color. The Power LED is on. The Video Sync LED is
on.
Possible Cause #1:
The distance specifications have been exceeded.
Solution #1:
Check the DC loop resistance and see if the distance spec has been
exceeded.
Possible Cause #2:
A lower-grade UTP cable is introducing high losses.
Solution #2:
Reduce the cable length or eliminate high-loss components. Replace
the cable with a higher-grade cable.
Problem:
The picture contains low-frequency background noise (appearing as a
wood-grain pattern). The Power LED is on. The Port LED is on.
Possible Cause:
There is poor grounding.
Solution:
Connect the Active CCTV Receiver Hub’s grounding to true building
ground.
Problem:
The image occasionally fades and the synchronization is not perfect. The
Power LED is on. The Port LED is on.
Possible Cause:
There is a ground loop fault. (The ground differential voltage
between the transmit and receive ends exceeds 2 VDC or 2 VAC.)
Solution:
Isolate the remote camera power entry and enclosure from the local
ground. Make sure that the camera is secured against static discharges (it should
be inside a metal, grounded cage).
