V.35 interface of a
router, switch, or mux.
Connects to an
unstructured 4-wire T1
circuit at 1.544 Mbps.

T
he Micro T1 CSU/DSU connects
to a 4-wire unstructured T1
circuit and plugs directly into the
V.35 interface of a router, switch,
or multiplexor.
When connected to a T1
circuit at 1.544 Mbps, the Micro
T1 CSU/DSU supports fractional
N x 56/64 connections at speeds
from 128 kbps to 1.544 Mbps.
Connect your V.35 equipment
to super-fast T1!

NOTE: The Micro T1 CSU/DSU must be used in pairs in
point-to-point applications.
Use it in pairs for your point-
to-point applications to link two
V.35 devices at data rates up to
1.544 Mbps at up to 6000 feet
(1828.8 m).
The Micro T1 CSU/DSU
supports D4/AMI or B8ZS/ESF
line coding and framing, internal
or network clocking, and select-
able line buildout (LBO) levels—
configure all these parameters
via an internal DIP switch. The
CSU/DSU is also switch-
configurable for clear-channel
(64 kbps) or factional T1 operation.
Fractional settings include 2, 4, 6,
8, 12, 16, and 24 channels.
Seven LEDs provide easy-to-
read diagnostics including
central-office-initiated D4 loopup
and loopdown codes, ESF line
loop and payload loop FDL
messages, and universal
loopback de-activate message.
Power is supplied by an
external transformer. Alternate
power may be supplied via pin KK
from the attached DTE.
Adapters are available for
WAN equipment that does not
have a standard V.35 interface—
for instance, the Cisco 2500
Series routers, which use a high-
density 60-pin connector. Call
Tech Support for information
about connecting a non-standard
interface to the Micro T1 CSU/DSU.
