Here’s what the components of this main box are for:

PC Description
This column contains the name or description assigned to each computer
connected to the ServLINK system. The default descriptions are “Black Box
Switch Box - Channel [letter]”, where [letter] is a ServSwitch Multi or
ServSelect CPU-port designation from A through N.
To change the name of a given computer, highlight the existing name here,
then click the Settings button; to add a new computer description, click the
Add button. See
Section 6.1.1.B
for the full procedure.

PC ID
This column contains the ID numbers that the ServLINK assigns to the
attached computers in order to keep track of them; these are used in the
ServLINK’s Event Log (see
Section 6.2.9
) and can’t be changed.
•
Select Host PC
You can use this button to start access/control sessions with the attached PCs.
Use the arrow keys on your keyboard to move the highlight bar in the
PC Description window to a particular computer, then click “Select Host PC”
to access that computer. (Alternatively, you can just double-click the mouse on
the PC Description.) This will bring up the notice shown in Figure 6-5:
