SENSING METHODS
OPERATION MODES
• When setting the Alarm for use - It is recommended that the rod be positioned and prepared
fi rst, then the Alarm turned on once completed.
• The Alarm has three sensing methods:
1. DYNAMIC: This sensing method combines angular rod movement and vibration. The
Alarm will beep and the LED’s illuminate with every angular change of rod position (high
tone forwards, and low tone backwards) and any signifi cant vibration sensed.
2. TILT: This sensing method will trigger when the total forward angular rod movement
increases to a critical angle. The Alarm will emit a continual broken beep in a high tone
and the LED’s will illuminate.
3. SNAP BACK: This sensing method will trigger when the total backward angular rod
movement decreases to a critical angle. The Alarm will emit a continual broken beep in a
low tone and the LED’s will illuminate.
• The Alarm has two Operation Modes - “Bank Mode” and “Boat Mode”.
• Once the Alarm is ON, a held press of the Sensitivity button for 2 seconds
will switch between “Bank Mode” and “Boat Mode”.
BANK MODE:
• “Bank Mode” is optimised for the Alarm to be used while bank fi shing - All alarm sensing
methods active.
• “Bank Mode” has 8 sensitivity settings, which can be sequenced through with a single press
of the sensitivity button.
• When entering “Bank Mode” The LED’s will fl ash blue-green-red, and the LED will latch red
for 3 seconds, to indicate “Bank Mode” has been activated.
• The rod needs to be stable and set before turning the alarm ‘on’
BOAT MODE:
• “Boat mode” is optimised for the Alarm to be used on boats and fl oating vessels - Reduced
sensitivity, tilt deactivated, and special snap back settings.
• “Boat mode” has 4 sensitivity settings, which can be sequenced through with a single press of
the sensitivity button.
• When entering “Boat Mode” The LED’s will fl ash red-green-blue, and the LED will latch blue
for 3 seconds, to indicate “Boat Mode” has been activated.
• First tension the rod in the rod stand and then switch on the alarm in boat mode, It is import-
ant that the angler sets the rod in the rod stand, so it is fi xed and fi shing as intended.
• The rod needs to be stable and set before turning the alarm ‘on’
Snap Back Alarm - Once the datum/0° is set by turning the alarm on, a permanent alarm will
trigger if the rod moves/rotates backward by 15° or more, regardless of speed/time.
