CONGRATULATIONS
on your purchase of the PREMIER
remote vehicle alarm. You now own the most reliable security
system available today, utilizing the latest state of the art tech-
nology. It is American made, designed and engineered by leading
experts in the security industry.
The PREMIER comes with two 2-button code learning remote
transmitters, flashing L.E.D., dual electronic sensor, and many
additional features. It can be programmed as a manual or pas-
sive system. A number of these safety and convenience features
can be programmed into your system either by the installing
dealer, or in some cases yourself (explained below). With mini-
mum care and upkeep, this alarm will give you many years of
service and protection. Read the following information carefully. It
will help you get the best from your system.
A) MANUAL OPERATION
1) TO ARM
– Press the left button. You will hear 1 chirp
and the L.E.D. will flash slowly 10 seconds after button is
pressed. This indicates your system is armed.
2) TO DISARM
– Press the left button. You will hear 2
chirps and the L.E.D. will no longer flash indicating the sys
tem is disarmed. If doors are not open before 30 seconds,
alarm will re-arm itself.
B) PASSIVE OPERATION
1) TO ARM
– If your installing dealer has installed the
PREMIER as a passive system, the alarm will arm
automatically approximately 30 seconds after the last door
is closed. (Note: you can also arm immediately by pressing
the left button as in #1 above).
2) TO DISARM
– Disarm system same as in #2 above.
3) VALET
– Your dealer installed a valet (push button)
switch in a convenient location in the dashboard area.To
activate the valet, push for 5 seconds prior to turning off
the engine. The L.E.D. will stay on (non-flashing) while the
vehicle is in Valet. You can now leave the vehicle without
arming the system. While in valet, with the alarm inactive,
you can still lock/unlock your doors with the remote trans-
mitters. See section C.To deactivate from the valet mode,
turn on the ignition and press the valet switch for 5 seconds.
C) DOOR LOCK AND UNLOCK
1)
If your vehicle has electronic (automatic) door locks,
and your dealer connected them to the alarm, the
PREMIER will also lock when arming and unlock when
the system is disarmed in either manual or passive opera-
tion.
2)
Your system can be programmed by the dealer not to
lock in the passive mode. In this case your system will arm
passively, but you must press the left button to lock the
vehicle.
3)
Your door locks can also be programmed by your deal
er to lock when the ignition is turned on and to unlock
when the ignition is turned off.
If you have questions, ask your dealer to explain these very conve-
nient features to you.
D) AUDIO-VISUAL WARNING INDICATORS
–
When disarming, if you hear 3 chirps (instead of the normal
2) and the L.E.D. is flashing rapidly, it means either an entry
violation was attempted or your vehicle was bumped hard
enough to cause the alarm to trigger (check your vehicle to
make sure everything is working and there is no damage).
E) REMOTE PANIC
– An important safety feature on your
PREMIER system is a remote panic which will trigger
your alarm a substantial distance away. Press left button for
3 seconds until siren sounds. To stop the siren, press the
left button.
F) STARTER INTERRUPT
– As added protection, the
PREMIER has a built-in starter interrupt.When the
system is armed, the vehicle cannot be jump started, hot
wired, or started with a key. This makes it extremely tough
on any theft attempt. When you use your transmitter to
disarm the system, the vehicle can then be started normally.
