Manage the devices connected to the media server
You can change your decisions about which devices connect, and how they connect, while using Media Server.
1.
On the home screen, click the
Media
icon.
2. Press the
key >
Media Server
.
3.
Click
Access Control
.
4.
Highlight a connection.
5.
Do one of the following:
• To change whether a device automatically connects, must receive permission to connect, or is automatically
denied access to the media server, change the field.
• To delete a device that's not currently active, press the
key >
Delete Selected Device
.
Select the types of media files that you share using the
media server
1.
On the home screen, click the
Media
icon.
2. Press the
key >
Media Server
.
3.
Click
Preferences
.
4.
Select or clear the checkbox beside each type of media file that you want to start or stop sharing.
Change the display name of the media server
The display name that you assign to your media server appears on supported devices when they detect the media server on
the Wi-Fi network.
1.
On the home screen, click the
Media
icon.
2. Press the
key >
Media Server
.
3.
Click
Preferences
>
Edit
.
4.
Type a display name for your BlackBerry smartphone.
5.
Click
OK
