3. On the
Options
menu, click
Connection Settings
. The
Connection Settings window appears.
4. Click
Detect
to confirm your handheld connection to the
desktop software. A dialog box appears prompting you to verify
that your handheld is connected properly.
5. Click
OK
. A dialog box appears confirming the connection to
your handheld. Click
OK
to close this dialog box.
6. Click
OK
to close the Connection Settings window.
The desktop manager displays the handheld personal identification
number (PIN) and handheld connection status (now
Connected
) in
the status bar at the bottom of the window.
Integrating with an enterprise email
account
If you integrated your desktop software with an enterprise email
account, follow these steps to continue configuring your handheld.

Note:
If a password is enabled on your handheld, you must type it on
your handheld before you can connect to the desktop software.
Note:
A dialog box that displays
Handheld not found
appears on your
computer if the desktop software cannot detect your handheld on a
serial port. If your handheld and cradle are connected securely, verify
that no other devices are sharing the serial port, such as a PC card. Verify
that no other connectivity software is running on your computer, and
that you are not using the same port that your mouse uses.
