30. Remote Stat Mux System Configuration Menu
Purpose:
Select the X-ON and X-OFF characters and change the password used by the remote stat mux.
Description:
Menu functions are similar to the corresponding functions of the System Configuration menu (2), except that
the selections made from this screen affect only the remote stat mux.
Typing
Q
on this screen will return you to the Prepare Remote STM Configuration screen (29).
31. Remote Channel Configuration Screen
Purpose:
View and select the current parameter values of the remote stat mux sub-channels.
Description:
Configuration screens are identical to the local sub-channel configuration screen described in 7. The only
difference is in the identification of the sub-channel displayed on the screen.
Typing
Q
on this screen will return you to the Prepare Remote STM Configuration screen (29).
32. Local Copy of Remote Stat Mux Configuration Screen
Purpose:
Display the information regarding remote stat mux configuration, saved (stored) permanently in the
local stat mux, by selecting 2) on the Remote STM Configuration screen (25).
Description:
The screen displays the “local copy” of the parameters selected for the remote stat mux sub-channels. For
Stat-24, the information is presented on three consecutive screens. To scroll between the screens, press
N
.
Procedure:
No action is required on this screen. After the remote configuration information display is no
longer required, you can end it by pressing
Q
to return to the REMOTE STM CONFIGURATION menu (23).
33. Activate Remote Stat Mux Configuration Screen
Purpose:
Transfer the remote stat mux configuration prepared on the local stat mux (item 3 on the Remote
STM Configuration menu [23]) and activate it.
Description:
This screen is displayed after selecting Item 5 on the Remote STM Configuration menu (23). Usually, you first
prepare the remote stat mux configuration using Item 3 of that menu, and then select the Activate item. After
you select Item 5, the following message is displayed:
ACTIVATE REMOTE STM CONFIGURATION
Press
Q
to exit.
No action is required on this screen. After you see this message, press
Q
to return to the Remote STM
Configuration menu (23).
