5. You can prepare a new configuration for the remote STM locally, using the temporary storage. You can
transfer this configuration to the remote stat mux (where it is stored in its non-volatile local storage) and
activate it there with the Activate Remote STM Configuration command.
IMPORTANT
Activating the new configuration always involves automatically resetting the stat mux.
After resetting, the configuration is loaded into the working configuration memory,
which is the memory actually used by the stat mux microcomputer. If the INIT/NOR
jumper of the remote stat mux is at INIT while the ACTIVATE command is received, the
remote stat mux will load the default configuration—not the configuration sent by the
local stat mux.
