Chapter 5: Email and Messaging
Messaging from Contacts
1. From the Home screen, Select
Contacts
.
2. Select a contact to display the contact information.
3. Select
Text mobile
.
4. Compose your message.
5. Select
Send
.
From Call log
1. From the Home screen, Select
Contacts.
2. Select the Call log tab to view all call history.
3. Select a call from the Call log.
4. Select
Send SMS/MMS message
.
5. Compose your message.
6. Select
Send
.
Note: If you exit Messaging before sending the message it will be automatically saved as a
draft.
To request message delivery notification
1. In Messaging, select
Menu
>
Settings
to access SMS and MMS settings.
2. Select Check the
Delivery reports
check box.
3. Select
to exit the menu.
Receiving and Managing Messages
When you send and receive messages from a contact, these messages are grouped as a message thread. A message thread looks
like an exchanged conversation.
To reply to a text message
1. Select
Application Drawer
>
Messaging
.
2. Select a message thread to open it.
3. Select
Type to compose
to enter your message.
4. Select
Send
.
To forward a text message
1. Select
Application Drawer
>
Messaging
.
2. Select to view a message thread.
3. Select and hold a message to display the message options.
4. Select
Forward
.
5. In the
To
field, enter the recipient’s phone number or type the first three number of the
recipient’s name to find and select them from your phonebook.
6. Select
Send
.
