About phone
Control
•
You can set the duration of the long press in 3 options (normal, longer,
longest).
•
You can make adjustments to the keyboard:
•
Keyboard style - you can choose between classic keyboard layout or
QWERTY layout.
•
Second finger tap for numbers - you can turn off touch with a second
finger in numerical keyboards. If this option is activated, you don't need
the second finger to confirm a selected number. The number will be
written after one finger has been removed from the screen. This option
requires that you find the number while sliding one finger over the
screen.
•
Reading during deleting characters - you can choose what should be
read when deleting a character.
•
Repeating during writing characters - you can customize voice feedback
while writing.
•
Capital letters signaling - you can choose how capital letters will be
signaled while writing.
•
Set feedback options
•
By default, you will always get spoken feedback and also vibration and
tone.
•
Here you can choose whether you want feedback either exclusively by
spoken feedback, by tone, or by both.
Sounds
Here you can make settings related to the speaker, speech output and ringtones:
•
Profile - select a sound profile (available options are general, vibration or
silent).
•
Volume - set the volume for the Alarm, ringtones and feedback on a scale
between 1 and 7.
•
Melodies - select melodies for the Alarm, ringtone and notification.
•
Voice output - adjust the reading speed on a scale from 1 to 5. Select a voice
variant if there is more than one voice variant available in your language.
Turn time and date information on and off when the phone is unlocked. Set
incoming call caller announcement or turn on and off menu position
indication.
•
Notification reminder - when "Sound notification" is selected, the phone will
play beep sound every 5 minutes when there is unread notification.
Customizing ringtones and alarm tones
If you connect BlindShell to a computer, it will be recognized as an external storage
system. Any mp3 file can be used as a ringtone, alarm tone or notification tone,
provided that it has been copied into the corresponding folders:
•
Ringtones in Internal storage/Ringtones.
