CLEANING
1. UNPLUG your chiller and remove any stock to a suitable back-up chiller.
2. Wash the inner compartment with warm water and neutral detergent. DO NOT allow the
control panel, cables or plug to get wet.
NEVER use corrosive detergents, wire brushes, or abrasive scourers to clean your chiller.
NEVER use metal or sharp implements to remove debris.
3. Dry all surface thoroughly.
4. To ensure trouble-free operation the condenser should be cleaned every three months
where appropriate using a vacuum hose. The condenser is located at the rear of the cabinet. In exceptionally
dusty locations the condenser should be cleaned more often.
5. Use mild soapy water to clean the gasket and seals.
CORRECT USAGE
1. Never over load the cabinet, allow space free air movement around the products being stored inside,
avoid loading products directly in front of the upper fan.
2. Manually record temperature logs once a day, record max and min temperature logs, reset max and
min temp log after recording the values taken.
3. Avoid prolonged door openings, ensure door open time is kept to a minimum ensure door is closed
properly
4. If the cabinet has been recently fully loaded, observe max temperature log, a brief high temperature
alarm may be due to the excessive door open period.
5. If alarms have been triggered, escalate the readings to a responsible person as the medicine/vaccine
may have been damaged.
6. The CR2450 battery in the thermometer has an estimated 3000-hour life expectancy, the battery
should be replaced in the thermometer approximately every 4 months.
7. The Blizzard MED140 has been validated for use as a pharmacy refrigerator however It is
recommended that you have independent validation of the cabinet on site to suit your individual
requirements.
Warranty
Should you encounter any problems during the warranty period, please check the power supply and fuses,
installation and use before placing a service call request to your supplier.
The warranty supplied with the unit will cover the repair of faults due to component failure during the stated
warranty period. The warranty excludes consumable items like bulbs, gaskets, batteries etc. and any faults
relating to incorrect installation, maintenance or use.
DISPOSAL OF PACKAGING
Do not allow children to play the packaging, and destroy plastic bags safely.
The cardboard may be broken or cut into smaller pieces and given to a waste paper disposal
service. The wrapping foil is made of polyethylene. The polyethylene pads and stuffing
contain no fluorochloric hydrocarbons.
All these valuable materials may be taken to a waste collecting depot and used again after
adequate recycling. Consult your local authority for the name and address of the waste paper
disposal services nearest to you.
