11.1 Shutdown and storage
This is where you can find information that you must pay attention to if you have to shut down the AIRSKIN®
Safetyflange for a lengthy period, and what you must watch out for when you put the AIRSKIN® Safetyflange back
into operation after this period. When it comes to any shutting down job, you should also pay attention to the
maintenance guidelines (see
) as well as the information in the machine’s maintenance manual. Prior to
shutting down, refamiliarize yourself with the installation. Shutting down requires some steps in the installation
to be carried out in reverse order. Ensure that AIRSKIN® and all its components are cleaned before shutting down
and storage. Only the cleaning agent supplied by Blue Danube Robotics should be used for this purpose.
The machine is prepared as follows for longer shutdowns:
STEP ACTION
1
Turn off the machine at the main switch. Switch off the power supply to the machine and secure
it against unintentional starting-up as well as switching on by a third party, e.g. enclose the power
cable.
2
Clean parts with the cleaning agent from Blue Danube Robotics that is recommended for this
purpose.
• If possible, store the AIRSKIN® Safetyflange in a cool, dry place.
• Air: clean, frost-free, as little moisture as possible
Returning to operation after a lengthy shutdown:
STEP ACTION
1
Check parts for completeness
2

Attach AIRSKIN®: see
11.2 Decommissioning
Pay attention to the following safety information. The safety instructions (see
) and the information in
the supplier’s documentation also apply!
Danger due to injury from cuts!
When carrying out the following disassembly jobs there is a risk of injury due to sharp
edges and corners on the system on which AIRSKIN® is installed; you should therefore
wear appropriate work gloves.
