INSTALLATION
MOUNTING
Choose a convenient mounting location – possible locations include: the trunk, on the firewall for covert
installations or in the interior of a vehicle. Avoid locations that might expose the device to excessive heat or
moisture.
•
Hold the D411 in place and mark the location for mounting screw holes.
•
Using the markings as a guide, drill mounting holes in those positions.
•
Align the D411 in the drilled holes and secure it with mounting screws.
The mounting holes are designed for number 10 screws. After the holes are drilled, loosely install the four
mounting screws, place the unit over the screws and slide to either the left of right to allow the screws to
engage the notches in the flange. Tighten all four screws.
INSTALLING CABLES
During installation, the following precautions will help ensure proper operation of the D411:
•
Remove power from the D411 until all other connections have made and verified.
•
Do not create loops, sharp bends or crimps in the cables
•
All cables should be mounted in such a way as to reduce stress or wear caused by vibration generated
by moving vehicles
•
Use proper terminations on all power cables to prevent electrical shorts.
