Hint: We found it easier to assemble three of the panels with them upright. Then
laying the 3 sections down so the center panel is on its back with the other two
panels facing straight up. It is easier to insert the remaining panel in the other two
panels that are facing up.
STEP 3
When the 4th panel is secured in place, turn the fire pit upright and secure all the
fasteners. With the help from another person, place the fire pit body in the desired
location. Insert the grate into the ash catch, there are cutouts in the grate to position
it to fit around the ash catch handles. Then place the ash catch, with the grate, into
the fire pit by inserting it into the through the top of the burn chamber, it will rest on
flanges at the bottom of the chamber.
Note: There are drain holes in the bottom of the ash catch to disperse rainwater.
There could be ash and particulates in the ash catch which could be carried out with
the water onto your deck or patio.
HOW TO USE
Caution: Be careful when loading the firewood into the burn chamber not to drop
logs onto the ash catch handles or the airflow flange at the top of the burn chamber.
Stack firewood in the fire pit - you can lay 3 - 16" split logs in the bottom of the fire
pit and then alternate with 3 additional logs. We do not recommend stacking logs
above the air injection holes. Doing so, could cause the fire pit to smoke.
When finished with your fire, let the flames burn out naturally. If you dowse the fire
with water to end the burn prematurely, you may damage your fire pit. Make sure the
pit has completely cooled before handling.
