ADVICE ON HOW TO GET THE MOST OUT OF YOUR
PHENIX NEO
BEFORE LIGHTING THE STOVE
1. REMOVE THE ASHES with the dustpan supplied, each time before lighting the fire.
2. CLEAN THE GLASS if necessary: clean glass gets dirty less quickly!
- If the glass is only slightly dirty, using paper and grade 00 or 000 steel wool will be
sufficient.
- Otherwise use a specific product (BG Clean).
3. COMBUSTION AIR INLET FULLY OPEN:
Turn the thermostat to the right.
4. SELECT FAN OPERATION (IF AVAILABLE)
- Select the desired air-flow rate by turning the speed control knob.
- 0 for natural convection (if the Phénix Neo is equipped with 4 hot-air outlets).
LIGHTING THE STOVE
5. LIGHTING THE FIRE
- Ensure you have sufficient kindling and a few small logs.
- Spread the kindling and logs across the whole width of the Phénix Neo.
6. CLOSE THE STOVE DOOR
- If the fire is slow to light, leave the door slightly ajar (a few centimetres).
- After 5 minutes, close the door fully.
PLEASE NOTE: ALWAYS ENSURE THE STOVE DOOR IS COMPLETELY CLOSED af IN ORDER TO
PREVENT EXCESS COMBUSTION AIR: THIS CAN RESULT IN A SIGNIFICANT RISK OF
OVERHEATING AND DAMAGE TO THE PHENIX NEO
7. HEATING UP THE PHÉNIX NEO
Leave the thermostat at maximum for 30 minutes, with the door closed, to obtain, as
quickly as possible, a high combustion temperature and a good draught.
FIRE CONTROL
8. TEMPERATURE ADJUSTMENT
After the first half-hour, using the thermostat control, you can set the heat output you
want.
Unless there is a strong draught, you are advised not to turn down the thermostat fully, to
ensure the fire is burning sufficiently well to maintain good combustion.
Once the fire has been burning for this first half-hour, the Phénix Neo can be used with the
glass raised so you can enjoy a real open fire.
9. RELOADING THE STOVE
