- Don't put more wood on the fire until most of the the previous load has been burned
down, to prevent overloading your stove.
- Spread the new logs across the whole width of the Phénix Neo.
10. CHOICE OF FUEL
Only dry wood allows for good combustion. Ideally, the moisture content of the wood
should not exceed 15%.
The advantages are: clean glass, a clean chimney flue, significant heat, and not much ash
to remove.
You can use firewood or compressed wood logs.
11. QUANTITY OF FUEL
Always use your Phénix Neo with care: frequent overheating and the use of the wrong
kind of fuel will reduce the life of the woodstove.
BLACKENING ON THE INSIDE OF THE STOVE IS ALWAYS A SIGN OF POOR COMBUSTION
COMBUSTION MAINTENANCE
- Get your chimney swept once a year (at least, depending on what wood you use).
- Have your Phénix Néo services once a year: the joints should be checked, the chains
greased, and the air ducts cleaned.
