Maintenance work compressor
–
Slacken screws on service cover and remove cover (see arrows in figure
6.6).
–
Pull oil disperser cartridge (1) out of the o-ring seal (see Fig. 6.6).
–
Check seat of o-ring.
–
Lightly oil bottom of new cartridge in and press into o-ring seal.
–
Check o-rings on service cover for damage and replace if necessary.
–
Fit service cover and tighten screws (see arrows in figure 6.6).
–
Open the ball valve at the compressed air outlet.
–
Switch on the compressor and heat up to operating temperature.
–
Switch off the compressor using the OFF button.
–
Actuate emergency-stop switch/button.
–
Open power disconnecting device.
–
Secure power disconnecting device against unintentional switch-on.
–
Prior to starting work let cool down all hot components of the compressor
to 122°F.
–
Check tightness of service cover and re-tighten screws.
–
Close sound insulation hood.
Oil change
Change:
–
After 9000 operating hours, however, at the latest after two years.
–
For other types of oil the appropriate oil change intervals must be complied
with.
Building up a pressure cushion
To enable a quick draining of the oil from the compressed air/oil tank and to
overcome a difference in height a small pressure cushion can be built up (ap-
prox. 22 psig system pressure). This pressure cushion forces the oil through
the drain hose into a suitable collecting basin.
Caution: Risk of injury!
Take extreme care when checking the servicing cover for leaks and always
observe all safety measures!
NOTICE!
The service life of the oil, the oil filter and oil separators is reduced under the
following conditions:
–
When the compressor is operated at extreme ambient temperatures.
–
When the intake air is extremely soiled.
