TRANSPORTING THE MACHINE
MOVING A DISABLED MACHINE
Tow the machine only when no alternative is possible, since this
operation may result in serious damage to the transmission.
When possible, repair the machine on site.
When the machine shall absolutely be towed:
- Unlock the parking brake. It is installed on the front axle, and
can be released through two screws situated on both sides of
the input shaft. Ask for the specific procedure if needed.
- Bypass the hydrostatic pump. You have to release the 2
maximum pressure valves, so the oil can flow freely from the
hydrostatic motor to the hydrostatic motors. Ask for the specific
procedure if needed.
- Tow the machine for short distances and at a low speed only
(less than 5 km/h).
- When possible, start the engine and use the hydraulic drive
and the braking system.
ROAD OR SITE TRANSFER
When traveling on public roads, strictly obey the local or
national road traffic regulations. Besides, take into account the
following general precautions:
- Always use the road lights, and check the rotating beacon is
ON.
- In some countries, a plate is required for driving the forklift in a
public road. Please, check with your local administration.
- Cover the teeth of the conventional forks with the special
guard; or withdraw the floating forks.
- The mast must be lowered, about 150 mm to the ground.
- Public road circulation is allowed only for transferring an
unloaded machine.
- Do not use the machine to tow trailers.
LIFTING THE MACHINE
When the machine shall be lifted, use only means having a
suitable capacity. The characteristic data are detailed in the
relevant chapter of this manual and on the identification plate.
For the machine lifting, anchor the chains to the special lugs on
the machine, on the rear counterweight and front mast:
