Adjust cable free play.
A. 2 ± 0.5 mm (5/64 ± 1/64 in)
Radiator
Inspect radiator fins. They must be
clean, free of mud, dirt, leaves and any
other deposit that would prevent the
radiator to cool properly.
Remove the deposits as much as you
can with your hands. If water is avail-
able in proximity, try rinsing the radia-
tor fins.
If available, use a garden hose to rinse
the radiator fins.
CAUTION:
Be careful not to damage
the radiator fins when cleaning. Do
not use any object/tool that could
damage the fins. The fins are pur-
posely thin parts to allow efficient
cooling. When hosing, use low pres-
sure only.
Spark Arrester
The muffler must be periodically purged
of accumulated carbon. See the mainte-
nance chart.
Removal
Remove:
– the screws retaining the spark ar-
rester to the muffler

– spark arrester and sealant joint
1. Spark arrester
2. Sealant joint
3. Muffler
WARNING
Never clean radiator with your
hands when it is hot. Let the radi-
ator cool down before cleaning.
