Be extremely careful when connecting the cooker hood to electric mains. When
connected as required above, check that the oven lamp and the fan motor work
correctly.
Once the cooker hood has been installed, keep its power outlet accessible for
unplugging the hood power cord.

Setting the operating mode of the cooker hood
•
Exhaust mode setup.
In the exhaust mode the cooker hood extracts the air
out by a special duct. Do not use the activated carbon filters in
this mode.
The hood is connected to the air exhaust opening by a
rigid or flexible duct with the diameter of 120 mm and a
suitable
set
of
ducting
clamps
which can be purchased at DIY stores. Have a qualified
installer do the connection with the hood.
•
Odour absorber setup.
In this operating mode the air is filtered and returns
to the room. Always use the carbon filter in this mode (the
carbon
filter
is
available
from
the manufacturer).

Fan speeds
The fan of the MVK61IX cooker hood has three running speeds.
Speed levels
one and two are used in normal cooking with small amount of vapours. Speed level
three is used with large emissions of cooking vapours, e.g. during frying or grilling.
1. Safe use
Always
follow
the
safety
guidelines
listed
in
this
Guide!
Grease filters and activated carbon filters must be cleaned and replaced as
recommended by the manufacturer or more frequently if they are used more intensely
(i.e. over 4 hours per day). When using a gas oven, do not leave open flame. Set the
burner to minimum before removing dishes from the oven. Always make sure that the
burner flame does not exceed the dish base – this causes undesirable loss of energy
and dangerous concentration of heat.
Do not use the cooker hood in any other way than the intended one!
