6) Switch on the mains Breaker and the input breakers for the two
parallel UPS.
7) Press and hold the
button continuously for more than 1
second for one UPS in the parallel system to let both UPS
turn on into line mode.
8) Regulate the output voltage of the each UPS separately, and
check whether the output voltage is less than 0.5V difference
between the two UPS units. If the difference is more than 0.5V,
the UPS need to be regulated again.
9) If the difference is less than 0.5V, switch on the output breakers
for each UPS and then switch on the main O/P breaker.
10) Transfer the mains mechanical switch or static switch from
Utility to the output of parallel system. The system will provide
UPS power normally for key equipment or devices .
How to join a new UPS to a parallel system:
1) Set up a mains mechanical switch or static switch at output of
original UPS as fig4-11..
2) Regulate the output voltage of the new UPS, before adding a
new UPS for a parallel system, first check the output voltage
which must be less than 0.5V difference between the original
and the new UPS.
3) Ensure the bypass of the original UPS has been set to the
“Enabled” state, and then press and hold the
button to turn
off the UPS, the UPS will work in bypass mode. At this stage
please ensure that the bypass function of the new UPS is also
set to
“Enabled”.
4) Transfer the mains mechanical switch or static switch from the
output of the original UPS to the Utility. Switch off both input
and output breakers of the UPS then the UPS will shut down
completely.
