Introduction:
The Rise IIIS-130 Shower-, Commode- & Care Chair accommodates the needs of both the user and the helper.
The electrical elevation (Seat height 53,5 cm – 95 cm) makes it possible to avoid lifting the user with a traditional
sling. By elevating the seat to match the height of the bed or wheelchair, most users can transfer themselves
sideways to/from the Rise IIIS-130. For weak patients use of a transfer board may be advantageous.
The electrical elevating function enables the helper to obtain an ideal working position during toileting,
showering and personal hygiene routines. This allows the user to enjoy his/her daily shower, etc. without feeling
that they are a burden to the helper, thus contributing to less stressful care routines.
The elevating function combined with the seat, which can be tilted forward and backward, also enables the Rise
IIIS-130 to help the user to a standing position. This is possible because the chair not only lifts the seat up to
41,5 cm (16 in.) but, at the end of the elevating cycle, the user may be tilted forwards about 20 cm (8 in.). In this
way Rise IIIS-130, in the same way as typical catapult seats, may help the user to move their body’s centre of
gravity to a point directly above their feet. Getting to this vertical position is often one of the most difficult
problems for persons with limited walking or standing ability.

Lifting & Tilting:
Both the lifting and the seat tilting functions are electrical. Power is supplied by a 24 volt battery (NiMh) with a
capacity of 1,4 Ah, sufficient for 25-30 full lifting cycles when fully charged.
Pressing the corresponding button on the hand control activates lifting/lowering and seat tilting. As soon as the
button is released, movement stops.
