2. INSTALLATION & OPERATION GUIDELINES 

An accredited competent person must carry out the installation of this appliance;  All guidelines 
set out in Section F, J & L of the Building Regulations 2014, Technical Guidance Document F, J & L 
– Heat Producing Appliances
 MUST BE ADHERED TO.  

Boru Stoves cannot accept responsibility for any fault arising through incorrect use or installation. 
It is the responsibility of the stove installer & owner to be aware of any amendments to the above 
document & amend the installation accordingly to comply with the most current version of the 
above document. Failure to adhere to these guidelines may result in serious injury or even death.  

Please hand these instructions, checklist and extended warranty sheet to the stove owner when 
the installation is complete & ensure the stove owner has complete understanding of the working 
& maintenance of the appliance. Please advise the stove owner to read this manual in full. Failure 
to do so may result in serious injury or even death. 

 

2.1 UNPACKING AND READYING THE STOVE FOR INSTALLATION 

 

Handling – Health & Safety Precaution – Please ensure that you have made the adequate 
facilities and made suitable lifting aids available for the safe unloading and site handling of 
your Carraig Mor 20kW Boiler Stove,  as this stove weighs over 150kg packaged.  

 

Remove packaging from around the stove.  

 

Disposal/Recycling of the packaging must be done in accordance with Health & Safety 
Regulations.  

 

Check the exterior of the stove and glass – Any damages and/or breakages MUST be 
reported within 72 hours of delivery. 

 

Check the body of the stove for any damage or defect – Any damage or defect must be 
reported within 72 hours of delivery. 

 

DO NOT INSTALL A DAMAGED OR DEFECTIVE STOVE. 

 

It is required that the stove be installed by an experienced and accredited stove installer 
that is familiar with Boru Products, contact the local authorised dealer for advice. 

 

Open the door and check that the following parts are present, any shortages must be 
reported within 72 hours of delivery – 

 

Multi Tool Handle –See page 5 for diagram 

 

Flue Collar – See page 5 for diagram 

 

Baffle Plate – See page 5 for diagram 

 

Flue Blank – See page 5 for diagram  

 

In the unlikely event that any of these parts are missing please contact the local authorised 
dealer with the CE plate number – See page 5 for diagram.
