Maintenance and Cleaning
Before any work on the water pump itself, push the but-
ton 6 of the pressure relief valve until the water pump
is pressure-free.
Keep the opening of the safety valve

unobstructed and
clean.
As a pressure container requiring special supervision, the
proper condition of the water pump must be checked at
regular intervals. Observe the relevant regulations for your
country.
Maintaining the Sealing Rings (see figure A)
Occasionally lubricate the sealing ring

on the pump as well
as the sealing ring

on the piston of the pump with a resin
and acid-free grease.
To maintain the sealing ring

, unscrew the pump lid

and
pull the piston out of the pump. Lubricate the sealing ring

reinsert the piston into the pump and firmly rescrew the pump
lid

Replace damaged sealing rings immediately.
