Replacing the filter drier
The filter drier removes the moisture and suspended
particulate matter from the refrigerant.
It is recommended to change the filter drier after the
specified duration of usage. Reusing saturated filter
driers may result in reduced recycling capability of the
ACS 651/751. Consequently, the purity level of the re-
frigerant to be charged to the vehicle A/C system also
reduces.
i
The filter drier needs to be replaced after every 75
kilograms of refrigerant is recovered.
!
The ACS 751 equipment is a J2788 certified A/C ser-
vice unit. It features equipment lockout at the end
of filter life and also a filter identification algorithm.
Each filter drier is labelled with a unique code. When
the filter is replaced, it is necessary to enter the
unique code (see chapter 7.5, step 14). If any of the
unique codes are reused, it is not possible to use the
ACS 751. It is recommended to have filter driers in
stock well in advance to avoid interruptions due to
the lockout of the equipment.
After 60 kg of refrigerant is recovered, the message
"Filter Drier Replacement Due"
is displayed
before starting vehicle A/C service.
As soon as the warning message is displayed, contact
customer service for ordering a new filter drier. The
contact information is available on the manufacturer's
name plate.
