Pressurizing
Bosch Security Systems | January 03, 2005
3.
Purge the housing with dry nitrogen until all
three areas of the humidity indicator turn blue.
4.
Replace the Front Vent Screw (see
Figure 10
).
5.
Pressurize the housing with dry nitrogen
to 70 kPa (10 PSIG).
NOTE: The relief valve will open at between
100 kPa (15 PSIG) and 140 kPa (20 PSIG).
6.
If 70 kPa (10 PSIG) is exceeded, remove the
nitrogen line from the fill valve and reduce the
housing pressure to 70 kPa (10 PSIG) by
pressing the Over Pressure Safety Valve
(see
Figure 11
)
.
7.
Inspect for leaks around the end seals, Fill
Valve, Over Pressure Safety Valve, Vent Screws,
and the 30-pin connector (see
Figure 11
)
. If any
leaks are found, reseal, repeat the purge, and
check again.
8.
Let the pressurized unit stand for 24 hours.
9.
Recheck the pressure by placing a gauge on
the Fill Valve. Pressure must be at least 62 kPa
(9 PSIG). If the pressure is below 62 kPa
(9 PSIG), check for a leak in the system. The
housing may then have to be depressurized and
opened, in accordance with
Section 5
.
10.
If the pressure has not fallen below
62 kPa (9 PSIG), bleed the pressure down
slowly via the Over Pressure Safety Valve, until
it is between 35 kPa and 38 kPa (5 PSIG and
5.5 PSIG).
11.
Replace the fill valve cap.
