3. Configuration
Each UDS is configured using the
DeviceInstaller
program supplied by Lantronix.
IMPORTANT
1. It is an absolute requirement for the error free operation of the UDS that
static IP addresses
are
used.
2. The
DeviceInstaller
program must be run on the same subnet as the UDS device. For example, if
there is a router between the PC running
DeviceInstaller
and the UDS then the configuration
process will not work.
3.1 DeviceInstaller Configuration
Notes
1. The procedure carried out in this section has to be performed before
Telnet Configuration
(
see
Section 3.2
) can be carried out.
2. Make a note of the
MAC Address
of the UDS (printed on the underside of the UDS or on the cover
above the IP unit of the K2200IP).
3. Consult your IT department to determine the
IP Address
and the
PC Network Class
for the UDS.
Procedure
1. Run
the
DeviceInstaller
program and the
DeviceInstaller
window is displayed:

MAC Address
of the UDS,
