Installation
Before opening the package and/or loosening the tension belts, make sure

that the bladder-type accumulator(s) cannot roll away.
Open the package and/or loosen the tension belts.
f
Lift the bladder-type accumulator out of the package by means of appropriate gear.
f
Dispose of the packaging in accordance with the provisions applicable in your country.

Installation conditions
6.2
Hydro-pneumatic accumulators must be sufficiently secured and fixed due to their
heavy weight and the acceleration forces generated by the hydraulic fluid in the
hydraulic accumulator.
The accumulator is to be fixed so as to make sure a safe support during operation-
related vibrations or in case of a potential pipeline break. Bosch Rexroth offers
corresponding mounting clamps and consoles as accessories, see RE 50170.
According to the Pressure Equipment Directive (97/23/EC), the bladder-type
accumulator must be secured with a pressure control valve.
Please note that utmost cleanliness must be ensured. The bladder-type
accumulator and all other parts used must be installed in a clean way. The
contamination of the hydraulic fluid may considerably affect the service life of the
bladder-type accumulator.
Clean the accumulator with dry, non-fiber cloths.
The temperature of the bladder-type accumulator must correspond to the ambient
temperature of the installation site. Allow the bladder-type accumulator to
acclimatize in order to adapt to the temperature conditions.
The bladder-type accumulator should preferably be installed vertically with the gas
valve connection at the top. Above the gas valve, a clearance area of 200 mm must be
observed in order to be able to connect the charging and test device.
