CAUTION
Minor or moderate injury may occur.
NOTICE
Property damage may occur.
1.3 Indented use
The here described motors are only allowed to be used in an area for compo-
nents for Group II, Category 3G/3D, ATEX directive 2014/34/EU.
●
where no explosive atmosphere can occur during normal operation, as this is
avoided by ventilation and monitoring.
●
where explosive atmosphere can occasionally occur in an event of fault and
this atmosphere can be eliminated and intercepted by the user immediately
after occurrence. Thus the explosive atmosphere appears rarely and for a
short period of time.
This corresponds to the use of motors in zone 2 and zone 22.
1.4 Application conditions ATEX device group II, category 3
Explosion hazard and danger to life, or substan-
tial property damage!
DANGER
All used components and accessory parts must fulfill the requirements for explo-
sion protection according to the 2014/34/EU directive.
The application conditions given in this documentation must be taken into ac-
count for any project planning and be observed during operation.
Notes about test number
The Ex designation for MSK motors can be identified by the "X" at the end of the
type plate or declaration of conformity. This marking is an indication of special
conditions that must be observed in conjunction with the safety and health re-
quirements specified in the underlying standards. The following special condi-
tions must be observed for the safe operation of the motors in the plant:
●
The permissible ambient temperature range is 0 ... 40°C.
●
It is not allowed to exceed the specified values of the tensile loading via ca-
bles which are connected via connectors. The maximum allowed values are
determined in the following context.
