1.11.2 Connect equipotential bonding conductor
The motors for potentially explosive areas have an additional terminal on the mo-
tor flange for connecting the equipotential bonding. Connect the equipotential
bonding on the motor via the cable to the equipotential bonding of the machine
or system and tighten the screw connections tightly.

1.12 Commissioning
Danger of explosion due to non-acceptance of
the overall system!
WARNING
Commissioning in potentially explosive atmospheres is prohibited until it has
been ascertained that the overall system corresponds to the demands and cer-
tification conditions for explosion protection.
Damage to property due to errors in the con-
trols of motors and moving elements! Unclear
operating states and product data!
CAUTION
Do not perform a commissioning, if ...
●
the connections, operating states or product data are unclear or faulty.
●
the safety equipment and monitoring of the system is damaged or not in oper-
ation.
Never use any damaged products.
Contact Rexroth for missing information or support during commissioning.
Preparation
1. Have the documentations of all products used ready at hand.
2. Check the products for damage.
3. Check all mechanical and electrical connections (including equipotential
bonding conductor!).
