Cylinder unit
The cylinder unit of the self-contained servo-hydraulic linear axis translates
flow and pressure into a linear movement with force. The cylinder positions
are sensed by the position measuring system fitted.
Motor/pump group
The motor/pump group makes hydraulic power available in line with demand.
Manifold block
The switching logic for rapid speed/force cycle changeover and for the safety
valves is integrated in the manifold block.
Position measuring system
In the basic version, the position of the cylinder piston is sensed with the help
of an integrated, absolute position measuring system. In the variant of “safe‐
ty-capable axis”, the customer has to fit to the linear axis an external position
measuring system suitable for safety engineering.
Hydro-pneumatic accumulator
The self-contained servo-hydraulic linear axis is a closed hydraulic system.
The accumulator absorbs the differential volume caused by temperature fluc‐
tuations and compression.
Drive controller
The drive controller with the PFC technology function is the central control
unit for the self-contained servo-hydraulic linear axis. It provides open- and
closed-loop controlling and monitoring of the operation of the self-contained
servo-hydraulic linear axis. When erroneous states are detected, the self-
contained servo-hydraulic linear axis is shut down with best possible deceler‐
ation and a diagnostic message is shown on the control panel of the drive
controller.
With the help of the PC-based engineering tool IndraWorks Ds (IW Ds) the
parameters of the axis system can be accessed. Depending on the master
communication used, IndraWorks is either connected via the service interface
of the control and instrumentation technology level or directly to the drive
controller.

Operating panel of the drive con‐
troller
The drive controller includes an operating panel. The display shows opera‐
tional states, diagnostic command and error messages, as well as any pres‐
ent warnings. Using the keys, settings can be made, information can be
viewed and some commands can be triggered.

Custom extension
A comprehensive portfolio of custom extensions is available for the self-con‐
tained servo-hydraulic linear axis.
Safety on board
The safety modules HSZ01, HAT02 and Safe Motion S4, which can be per‐
fectly integrated, allow the economic implementation of safety functions in ac‐
cordance with standards.
Mains filters
Mains filters ensure that EMC limit values are adhered to and suppress the
generation of leakage currents of DC bus capacitors.
Braking resistors
Braking resistors distribute energy in the form of heat, which is generated by
dynamic braking of the self-contained servo-hydraulic linear axis. The power
sections of the HCS02 series are all equipped with an integrating braking re‐
sistor. On the power sections HCS02.1E-W0054/W0070, it can be extended
by an additional external braking resistor according to the project planning
