Extend ID code with sequence number
An ID code is normally used only once, since just one tightening operation is performed on the same
component. Exceptions to the aforementioned are e.g. applications with hand-held tightening systems.
Here, the same component is tightened several times. In this case, the component’s ID code does not
change.
In order to ensure that the results of the individual tightening cycles are clearly identified, the BS350 has
an option to use the existing ID code several times and to extend the ID code with a sequence number
that is added to the ID code. This is 001 the first time the ID code is used and is increased by one number
every time the same ID code is used, until it reaches the number 999. Whenever a new ID code is
transferred to the tightening system, the sequence number starts again at 001.
You can only select the
Extend ID code with sequence number
option if the
Delete ID code after start
function is deactivated.
The following conditions must be fulfilled to ensure that the tightening system uses the sequence number:
•
The ID code for a specific tightening application or a specific tightening channel does not change or
is not resent to the controller.
•
The ID code is not longer than 60 characters.
If more than
999
tightening processes are performed using the same ID code, the sequence number will
start again at
001
.
Use channel-specific ID code in application operation
If this option is selected, the channel-specific ID code is used in application mode.
6.1.3.2
ID codes used
The subsequent tightening cycle of the same tightening application can use the following possibilities for
the ID code:
•
A new ID code was transferred from an external source.
•
The "old" ID code is re-used:
– with a sequence number or
– without a sequence number, i. e. the new result will overwrite the old one.
•
There is no valid ID code and the cycle counter of the KE (for tightening application) or of the channel
(for single-channel tightening) is used instead.
Example
ID-code for single-channel tightening, as transferred
=
ID_867954
Identification in results output when using the ID-code for the first time
=
ID_867954_001
The Open Protocol does not allow using
Extend ID code with sequence number
function.
